Healing exercise frequently involves the coordination of
Mind and Body. It's designed to build up one's physical
strength and improve his or her physiological
functioning.
However, one should not put so much emphasis on
developing one's external fashionable physique that he
or she can actually drain away vital energy (Qi) within
the body. The simple yet sound approach to a healthy
body lies in balance. The inside must be trained,
conditioned, and nurtured as well as the outside. In
other words, the internal organs, the blood circulation,
the joints, the muscles - all are critical determinants
of health and mobility. The flexibility of the joints
being gently lubricated and the vital energy being
stimulated when doing exercises help keep the body
functioning properly.
Physical fitness is as important as the energetics of
proper diet and nutrition. Healing exercise then is a
holistic therapy that treats not only the entire body by
toning the nervous system and the blood circulation but
it also improve the body's ability to absorb and
transport nutrients, thereby increasing immunity.
In this last branch of the An Viet Healing system, one
would work with his or her given nature body to
transform it into a vibrant, energetic, physically fit,
and spiritually fulfilled human being, through the
process of healing, inside and outside, with movements
and energy circulation.

Yin Yang Diet and Nutrition Therapy
There's a saying in Oriental Medicine that "diseases
come into the mouth". It simply means that foods, like
herbs, one consumes daily have particular tastes that
affect particular organs in the body in that it either
nourishes or causes damage to one's body due to its
energetic characteristics of the foods. Viewing the
human body as a holistic organism with viscera and
channels as its structural essence, Oriental Medicine
treats it as the unity of the two opponents, Yin and
Yang. This 2-hour class introduces how foods is
described in Oriental Medicine in terms of its
temperature and flavor, and how a balanced diet should
be in order to maintain a harmonious state of Yin and
Yang energy in the body.
