Peace and Health

We tend to see body, breath, and mind separately, but in meditation they come together as one reality. The point of meditation is to open our eyes to our "true nature" to enable us to live a truly awakened life. Simply put, it gets us in touch with our pure "beingness".

Viet-Zen Meditation
Meditation plays an important role in the philosophy of holistic medicine and it has been practiced for hundreds of years by the Vietnamese Zen monks at the monasteries to keep their body and mind whole.

Mind-Body Zen Meditation is rooted in the philosophy of the Vietnamese Zen tradition which emphasizes the importance and necessity of relaxing and calming both Body and Mind to achieve a balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. This will enhance the flow of energy in the body which promotes both mental and physical health.

Designed for those new to Zen practice, this 4-hour meditation workshop introduces the important aspects of Vietnamese Zen tradition and training. One will experience zazen (sitting meditation), postures, body structures and other areas of training such as deep breathing, while also having the opportunity to ask questions about Vietnamese Zen practice.
